There's an owl fluttering outside the cabin. When it sees the man in question it drops the piece of parchment to him and circles his head. ]
Mr. Hale,
I have something I'd like to speak with you about. If you have the time this afternoon could you meet me? If yes just write a time and a place on the back of this parchment and give it back to the owl - don't worry, he likes people like us!
[ At ten to three he's at the beach. He's not wearing his robes again but he does have his Gryffindor scarf wound around his neck because it's September and he's a naturally cold person. He sits on a log and waits for Derek to appear. ]
[ He smiles. Remus just looks tired mostly. He has a few new scars but they're all in places he can tug away under jumpers. ] I just didn't want to use the ... device thing to talk to you? It doesn't feel very safe. I know there are ways to make it -- what's the word? Unhack?
[ Shaking his head. ] Sorry, all of this stuff confuses me.
[ Now he just looks a little embarrassed. Because he's so used to subterfuge. ] But speaking of. There's a cabin in the woods. Ginny told me I used to use it when I was here last. It's warded for um, for the moon. I meant to talk to you about it before the other night but I'd been so busy fretting I just forgot.
It's -- well, the wards would stop you from finding it yourself? You can't see it on the map and the magic would push you away if you were walking near it. I can show you though.
[ He looks up at that. ] I did? I never said thank you though, I should have.
I thought it was because the wolf part of my brain works differently? But -. I don't know, all I've ever looked for is a cure. I've never tried to figure it out before.

You can always come over to the cabin. Always.

You responded to me, though. If you got out, I could get you back.

You didn't like it, at first, but by the end of the night you were responding.

Yes. Merlin knows I do. I wish I could just get rid of it.

You hate something that much, of course it's going to be angry.
